Systems Advisory Standing Group (SASG)

The Systems Advisory Standing Group (SASG) works closely with the Team to direct the activities of the Systems Program. The group is composed of 5-6 staff from Alliance institutions who are familiar with library technologies, such as the Shared Integrated Library System (SILS), authentication and student information systems, APIs, Analytics, and other tools of interest to the community. The group’s goals include:

  • Setting the agendas of Systems open calls, including the monthly Tool Tip demonstrations.
  • Creating documentation for shared systems, such as the Primo VE Cookbook.
  • Discussing ongoing issues in the Systems community to continually assess what trainings, documentation, or other support is needed by Alliance members.
  • Organizing virtual and in-person events for Systems, such as summer meetings and webinars.
